On receipt of a complaint a team of FDA officials comprising of SFSO Rajaram Patil, FSO Madhav kavlekar and FSO Bhakti walke inspected the premises of Punjabi kitchen bar and restaurant at calangute. Investigation was done with respect to an alleged food poisoning. Spot inspection report was issued and sample of water and curry was drawn and the premise has been shut down till further orders due to unhygienic conditions.
Also, M/S Rohit Hotel at Porvorim Inspected the premise and spot Inspection report was issued and directed to stop the food business activities. This is the same premises wherein a video of cockroach in samosa was going rounds on social media. Further, bhel puri stall at Saligoa was directed to shut down as they were operating without FSSAI license.
