Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has contributed a record ₹2,10,269 crore to the central government’s treasury in the financial year 2024-25, marking the first time the company’s annual contribution has crossed the ₹2 lakh crore mark. The amount includes taxes, levies, spectrum fees, and other statutory dues, and represents a 12.8% increase from the ₹1,86,440 crore paid in the previous year.
With this, Reliance remains the single largest corporate contributor to the national exchequer. Over the six-year period from FY 2020 to FY 2025, the company has paid over ₹10 lakh crore to the government.
In its recently released annual report, Reliance also highlighted its robust financial performance over the past decade. Shareholder wealth has grown fivefold in the last 10 years, with the company’s market capitalisation increasing from ₹3,38,703 crore in FY 2015-16 to ₹17,25,378 crore in FY 2024-25.
Additionally, Reliance’s consolidated revenue has grown 3.65 times over the decade, while net profit has surged from ₹29,861 crore to ₹81,309 crore — a 2.72-fold increase.
