Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi Convenor Gopal Rai said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has created history in India by taking inspiration from Bhagat Singh. Deshbhakti Curriculum has been implemented to inspire the students of Delhi to follow in the footsteps of the revolutionaries. The Youth Wing of the Aam Aadmi Party celebrated the 7th foundation day and birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh on Tuesday. He said the Kejriwal government’s Deshbhakti Curriculum will produce new Bhagat Singh in schools. He said that we will produce such a generation of youth who will have the zeal to sacrifice everything for the country. He said that at the time when the whole country is celebrating the birthday of Bhagat Singh a situation as such was created in the country that the farmers of the country were compelled to shut down India. He said that the election of MCD is an opportunity to erase the stigma of 15 years of the Bharatiya Janata Party and in these 15 years, BJP has given the gift of corruption and three garbage mountains to the people of Delhi.
Today the 7th foundation day of the youth wing of the Aam Aadmi Party and the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh was celebrated. AAP Delhi Convenor Gopal Rai attended the foundation day organised at the party headquarters. During this, while addressing the people, Gopal Rai said that on the birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, the entire team of the Youth Wing of the Aam Aadmi Party is celebrating its foundation day. “On one hand, the Youth Wing is celebrating Foundation Day, while on the other hand, taking inspiration from Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has created history inside India. Delhi has become the first state in the country to inspire the children of Delhi to follow in the footsteps of revolutionaries including Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Chandrashekhar Azad. For this purpose CM Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia have started the DeshBhakti Curriculum in schools in Delhi.”
He said that I am sure that this curriculum will prepare new Bhagat Singhs from the schools of Delhi and will produce such a generation of youths who will have the spirit of sacrificing everything for this motherland. “At the time when the whole country is celebrating the birthday of Bhagat Singh, the farmers of the country had to call for Bharat Bandh yesterday. There has been a long tradition of movements in the history of India, but for the first time in the country, such a government has been formed which has neither heart nor mind. They are not ready to think about anything. From November 7 last year, farmers started their agitation in the cold. The movement tolerated heat, rain. Now the movement will complete 1 year in the month of November,” he said.
Gopal Rai said that we have never seen such an arrogant government. “During British rule, they used to hear that they did not consider Indians as human beings. Their sole principle is divide and rule. Once again such a government has been formed in India which thinks that we will continue to rule this country by dividing it. On the birthday of Bhagat Singh, I want to take an oath that we will break this ideology and we will unite the country. Will carry forward a new fight inside this country,” he said.
He said that elections are an important part to express our voice but we have not entered politics just to become councillors, MLAs, MPs, chief ministers. “Before we become anything, first we have to do something for this country. When we take the name of Bhagat Singh, it seems that Bhagat Singh is the one who wields a pistol. But Bhagat Singh fired a pistol only once in his life. When Bhagat Singh threw a bomb in the assembly, threw it at an empty space so that no one would get hurt. When Bhagat Singh went to jail, he fasted for 63 days,” he said.
Gopal Rai said that the youth wing of the Aam Aadmi Party is different from the youth wing of all parties. “Live for your family too, but when you have to choose any of these, then, first of all, you should choose the passion to live for the country. People of other parties also do politics and we also do politics. But they do politics of hate, we do politics of love. They do politics to get power for themselves and we do it to highlight the name and prestige of the country. The way to move towards Bhagat Singh’s politics is to create us from within the youth wing. Remembering Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, we all need to work with a new idea and a new goal in this country.”
He said, “the goal of MCD is in front of us. The election of MCD is not just an election for us to make councillor-mayor. The election of MCD is an opportunity for us to erase the stigma of 15 years of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In these 15 years, BJP has gifted three garbage mountains to the people of Delhi. Second, every poor man was given the gift of recovery while building a house. Whenever we go out or come, we do not enter Delhi without the salute of the mountain of garbage. The Aam Aadmi Party has struggled to eradicate both of these stigmas.”
Gopal Rai said, “the corruption of the BJP’s MCD sitting in Delhi and the stigma of the mountains has to be eradicated. So the youth wing has to handle this front. Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, we will walk step by step to fulfil the dream of making the country’s capital Delhi the most beautiful in the world. Will fight the battle of change in MCD in Delhi. The way the youth wing carried out the youth conference from place to place inside the whole of Delhi, the way this caravan was carried forward by putting body, mind and wealth, we hope that the youth wing inside Delhi will create its own record within the next 3 months. This will decide an important role in the next fight. We are confident that the way we are moving ahead with the caravan of change inside Delhi. Together we will take forward the fight for this change step by step.”
