Two arrested by Porvorim Police for theft in wine shop

Porvorim Police have arrested 02 accused persons for committing theft of liquor bottles from a wine shop in Malim, Betim – Goa.
As per PI Anant Gaonkar of Porvorim Police Station a complaint was lodged by one Mr. Chirag Naik, proprietor of Raj Wine Store at Malim complaining that on the intervening night of 3rd and 4th June 2023, some unknown persons had break opened the shutter of his wine shop and further entered and stole away liquor bottles of various brands, all worth Rs, 22,000/-.
In this connection during the investigation through CCTV analysis and technical surveillance it was revealed that the accused persons had come in an white colour car and committed the crime. The accused persons were traced at Kolhapur, Maharashtra and further with the assistance of local Kolhapur police a team of Porvorim Police nabbed the accused persons from Gandhinagar, Kolhapur.
The accused persons have been identified as 1) Mr. Samir Babu Nadaf S/o Babu Ramjan Nadaf, age – 27 yrs, and 2) Mr. Mustkim Inamdar S/o Salim, age – 22 yrs, Both R/o Gandhinagar, Kolhapur.
The police have obtained 04 days police remand of the accused persons.
The investigation team was supervised by SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe and consisted of PI Anant Gaonkar, PSI Sitaram Malik, PSI Pratik Bhatprabhu, Head constable Subhash Gawas, Vivek Toraskar, constables Nitesh Gawade, Mahadev Naik, Bhikaji Parab, Tushar Raut and others.
