Calangute: The Swayampurna Goa – Sylvan Outlet, an initiative of the Goa Forest Development Corporation (GFDC) in collaboration with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), was inaugurated at Calangute in the presence of Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo,MLA Deviya Rane, GTDC Chairman Kedar Naik and senior officials.
The outlet aims to promote Goa’s indigenous products, strengthen local livelihoods and provide wider market access to local producers, artisans, women’s self-help groups and rural entrepreneurs.
The outlet will feature GFDC cashew nuts and GoVan products of the Goa State Biodiversity Board, showcasing Goa’s rich natural and cultural heritage.
The initiative aligns with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant’s Swayampurna Goa mission, focusing on self-reliance, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Located in one of Goa’s prominent tourist destinations, the outlet also aims to encourage visitors to explore and support authentic Goan products.
