Schemes for NGO working for SC/OBC/EBC

Directorate of Social Welfare has informed about implementation of various schemes by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for the NGOs working for SC/OBC/EBC communities. The NGOs which are working for the upliftment and welfare of SC/OBC/EBC are eligible for the scheme such as; Assistance for skill development of OBCs/DNTs/EBCs (NGO Scheme). The scheme aims to involve the Voluntary Organization and National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) to improve educational and socio-economic conditions of the OBCs/DNTs/EBCs.

The other Scheme is of Grant in Aid to Voluntary Organizations working for Scheduled Castes. The scheme objective is to involve the voluntary sector and training institutions of repute to improve educational and socio-economic conditions of the target group i.e. Scheduled Castes with a view to upgrade skill to enable them to start income generating activities on their own or get gainfully employed in some sector of the other.
