Agacaim, Goa – The Agacaim Police Station has registered a criminal case (FIR No. 72/2024) against Mr. Roy Fernandes, a former employee of the Vindev Group, for alleged criminal breach of trust. The complaint was filed by Mr. Vinay Kumar KM, a partner at the company, following the misappropriation of company property valued at approximately ₹1,50,000.
The incident reportedly occurred between June 20 and July 1, 2024, when Mr. Fernandes, who served as the general manager, was entrusted with overseeing the company’s business affairs. It is alleged that he dishonestly misappropriated various items belonging to the Vindev Group, including a laptop, tablet, and scooter, for personal use. Despite repeated requests, he failed to return the items to the company.
The FIR was registered under Sections 314 and 316(4) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertain to criminal breach of trust. The investigation is currently being led by PSI Swapnil Naik, who is working diligently to gather evidence and build the case against the accused.
This incident highlights the importance of trust and accountability in business operations and serves as a reminder for companies to safeguard their assets and monitor employee conduct closely.
