In continuation with the investigation related to rescue of 02 minor girls, Colvale Police have arrested another accused person.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi the statements of both the minor victim girls were recorded wherein they stated that they were sexually abused by the accused persons. Based on the statement another accused person namely Mr. Vikas Mukhiya, age 19 yrs R/o Bicholim N/o Bihar was arrested and is presently under police custody. This takes the total arrests in the case to three accused persons.
Also as minor girls have revealed sexual abuse stringent sections of POCSO Act have also been added into the crime.
Further investigation is in progress.
