Mapusa a police have arrested one person from Bijapur Karnataka for kidnapping and sexual abuse of a minor girl.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi on 10.06.2023 Mother of victim girl lodged her complaint to the effect that on 10.06.2023, accused person Mr. Nagesh @ Sanju Lalsab Kolakar, aged 23 years R/o Mapusa, Bardez,N/o Bijapur, Karnataka kidnapped the complainant’s Minor daughter aged 14 years and kept her in secret place.
Mapusa Police Station registered an FIR under sections 363 IPC and Sec 8 of Goa Children’s Act.
Further, during the course of investigation staff lead by PSI Bablo Parab of Mapusa Police Station visited Etagi, Karnataka and after hectic efforts and after developing the information through sources apprehended accused person with victim girl at Etagi, Bijapur, Karnataka Further, and escorted them to Mapusa Police Station.
Further, accused has been arrested on 15.06.2023 and remanded in 04 days Police Custody by JMFC, Mapusa.
Victim girl is medically examined at GMC, Bambolim and as sexual abuse has been revealed POCSO act has also been added into the crime.
Further Investigation is in progress with LPSI Reecha Bhonsle under the supervision of SP North Nidhin Valsan and SDPO Mapusa Dalvi and PI Mapusa Sitakant Nayak.
