In view of the Diwali festival, FDA continued its surprise surveillance inspections at Margao on sweet vendors, bakeries premises of m/s Shri kantilal Prajapat (manufacturing Unit) at Shantinagar Margao.
590 kg of mawa worth Rs. 1,20,000/- which was detained by FDA officials was destroyed at Sonsodo Margao with help of MMC. Bangalore bakery (manufacturing unit)
Situated at Navelim Goa was shut down due to unhygienic conditions and Bangalore iyyengar bakery(manufacturing unit) situated at Aquem Goa was closed as they had not obtained license. Confiscated food articles worth Rs. 2790/- due to no proper label declaration. DK bakery (manufacturing unit) Was served with inspection notice.
Mohan and food products situated at shantinagar Aquem Baixo was also inspected and 09 kg of misbranded mixed farsan worth Rs. 2500/ was detained.
