Inspite of repeated appeals by FDA not to allow food stalls carrying out cooking activities at Jatras and fairs, without proper sanitary and hygienic conditions and without Registration Certificate from FDA, Gobi Manchurian stalls were set up at Jatra at Kapileshwari.
Upon receipt of complaint, a team led by Senior Food Safety Officer, Shivdas Naik and Food Safety Officer Shruti Pilarnekar visited the stalls and directed the vendors to close down the activities, and also dismantled the stalls, as they were operating without FDA licence.
