The Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services observed the 9th International Day
of Yoga 2023 in association with Art of living Founder Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar,
Goa Chapter at Goa State Fire Force Headquarters, St-Inez, Panaji on 21st June 2023 at
7:30 hrs. Shri Nitin V. Raiker, Director Fire & Emergency Services and 78 nos. of Fire
Personnel attended the International Day of Yoga. Director, Fire & Emergency services
inaugurated the yoga event by lighting the traditional lamp and enlightening the
participants on the importance of the event.
Shraddha Parab, Sr. Instructor, and Miss. Purva C. Parab Meditation
Instructor, Art of Living guided the Fire Personnel at Fire Force Headquarters, Panaji.
She also stated that yoga promotes tolerance, acceptance and peace in the world and
hoped International Day of Yoga will bring inner and outer peace, and lead the way
towards more tolerance societies.
