CM Pramod Sawant extends Dussehra greetings

Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Goa on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Dussehra.
CM in his message said that Dussehra is celebrated with great enthusiasm and spiritual fervor. It is a festival of joy and gaiety. Dussehra or ‘Vijayadashmi’ indicates the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana and is celebrated as a festival of victory of good over evil. It gives an inspiration to seek strength and courage from the victory of Lord Shriram. The festival also marks Goddess Durga’s battle against Mahishasura, fighting the evil forces.
CM in his message further said, Dussehra signifies the supremacy of truth and asserts that virtue always triumphs over evil. The festival strengthens national integration and reaffirms our faith in the concept of unity in diversity.
Goa is transforming into a strong, prosperous and fully developed State. On this festive occasion, let us strive towards realizing our dream of a strong & progressive Goa. Let us all burn the vices inside us and let the good within blossom. CM has also called upon the people to support the government in its fight against evils in the society. Let’s constantly move ahead on the road towards development, CM added.
May the celebrations of Dussehra bring peace, harmony, prosperity and good Health to everyone. Let us resolve to celebrate the power of light over darkness, binding all communities making efforts for unity and progress of the State,” the Chief Minister concluded.
