The 11th Special Edition of Grand Asturi 2024 was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. The event, organized by the Women’s Wing of the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) and supported by the Union Ministry of MSME under the Procurement & Marketing Scheme, was attended by GCCI President Shri Shrinivas Dempo and other dignitaries.
This year’s Grand Asturi features specially curated stalls that showcase the talents of Divyang entrepreneurs. The initiative aims to empower and uplift women entrepreneurs from Goa and across India. A notable aspect of the event is the Interest-Free Loans Scheme by the Rural Development Agency, which has played a crucial role in fostering women-led businesses.
Aligned with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who aspires to create “Lakhpati Didis” through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and similar programs, this event stands as a testament to collective efforts towards economic empowerment.
The Chief Minister encouraged all Goans to visit the stalls at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium and extend their support to these inspiring women entrepreneurs, emphasizing that community encouragement can make a significant difference.
