AITC nominates Shri Luizinho Faleiro for bypoll to a Rajya Sabha seat. Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra appointed state in-charge for Goa unit
The All India Trinamool Congress today nominated former Goa Chief Minister and AITC national vice-president, Shri Luizinho Faleiro for a bypoll to a Rajya Sabha seat in West Bengal. This was followed by congratulatory messages by the entire Goa TMC leadership who lauded the decision by the TMC for taking the first formidable step to ensure that Goa gets strong representation at the national level.
Shri Lavoo Mamledar said, ‘We are happy and confident that Shri Faleiro will raise Goa’s issues in the Upper House of the Parliament and give Goa national prominence that it rightly deserves, something that has not happened in the past.’
Soon after announcing Shri Luizinho Faleiro’s nomination, the party leadership appointed Lok Sabha MP Smt Mahua Moitra as the State in-charge of Goa unit.
On the same day, former MGP leader & Bandora Sarpanch (2005-2015), Shri Kishor Parwar along with two other MGP leaders including wife Smt Komal Parwar and Shri Sujay Malick joined Goa TMC today in the presence of senior leaders Shri Lavoo Mamledar and Shri Shivdas Naik at the party office in Panaji.
Upon becoming part of the TMC family, Shri Kishor said, ‘Whenever there is injustice and pain in the world, a saviour is born who comes to everyone’s rescue. Similarly, Goa is facing difficult times and TMC has come to rescue the people and give them justice.’
Not just politicians, prominent environmentalist Shri Arthuro D’ Souza also joined the party at the same event and asserted that he had done so to uproot BJP from Goa. He added, ‘I’ll do all that is in my power to wipe out BJP from my state Goa. I am confident that TMC’s dream will be fulfilled soon.’
Goa TMC welcomes all the decisions which have been taken to usher in a New Dawn in Goa. The party is committed to pave the way for good governance in Goa that the people of the state rightfully deserve.
