A police report has been registered under Verna P.S. Cr. No. 04/2025 following a serious traffic accident that occurred on January 20, 2025, at 5:00 AM on NH 366 near Sheela Bar and Restaurant in Terepal, Sancoale, Goa.
The complaint was filed by Shri Sudeshkumar Dessai, a Head Constable at Verna Police Station. The report states that the accused driver, Suresh Jaggal, aged 45, was driving his car (registration No. GA-07-C-7406) recklessly and negligently while heading towards Vasco from Cortalim. He veered into the wrong lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Maruti Ertiga (registration No. GA-03-N-4056).
As a result of the collision, Yallapa Muniswami, the 30-year-old driver of the Ertiga, suffered grievous injuries. Additionally, Nissar Ahmad, a 54-year-old occupant of the Swift car, also sustained serious injuries and tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The investigation is being conducted by IO PSI Rajdatt Arsekar.
