The Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, launched the Smart Transit Card for the Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd. (KTCL) under the slogan “One Card, Many Destinations.” This innovative service aims to transform commuting by allowing seamless, cashless travel on all KTCL buses, including those under the ‘Maji Bus’ initiative.
During a special ceremony, the Chief Minister presented the first batch of cards to students, senior citizens, women, and other commuters in the presence of Transport and Panchayat Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho and KTCL Chairman Shri Ulhas Tuenkar, along with other dignitaries.
The Smart Transit Card offers exclusive benefits, including a 50% discount for students and senior citizens and a 10% discount for first-time users. It is also applicable on interstate KTCL buses, enhancing convenience for travelers.
Dr. Sawant commended KTCL for this forward-thinking initiative, which aligns with the state’s vision of creating a more efficient and eco-friendly transportation network.
