PANAJI, GOA – A formal representation on behalf of Goa’s coconut and salt manufacturing and processing industries was presented to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, and the Hon’ble Minister for Public Works Department (PWD), Shri Digambar Kamat. The representation was submitted by Shri Paresh Shetgaonkar, Chairman of Oldgoa Oils and Foods Private Limited.
The primary objective of this representation is to highlight the strategic importance of traditional Goan commodities—specifically coconut processing and salt manufacturing—and to urge state support for industrial infrastructure, research-backed value addition, and sustainable economic development for local farmers and producers.
