16 Oscar-nominated films to be screened at IFFI 2018

~8 out of these films are part of the 20 critically acclaimed international films in the Festival Kaleidoscope section. This is one of the most sought-after sections of the festival that showcases some of the best films by international Masters of the craft~
~3 of these films are in the World Panorama section among 67 films, which are specially curated for the festival~
~3 of these films are among the 10 films to be showcased for a selection to be presented with ICFT prize consisting of the UNESCO Gandhi Medal to a film reflecting the ideals promoted by UNESCO~
~The only Tunisian film in this list is a part of Special Presentation on Tunisia~
~1 Oscar-nominated film is in the International Competition, competing with 3 Indian films out of a total of 15 films in the section~
Goa, 17th November 2018: It’s raining Oscar-nominated films at IFFI this year. Of the 87 films nominated by their respective countries in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 91st Academy Awards, as many as 16 films are going to be screened at IFFI 2018. That’s more than one-fifth of all the films vying for the top award. These films are spread across multiple categories at IFFI 2018.
