Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant met and interacted with Women Entrepreneurs of the Start-Village Entrepreneurship Programme in the presence of Rural Development, Minister Shri Govind Gaude and others. HCM noted that under SVEP, 1693 SHG members have been supported through Community Enterprise Funds (CEF).
HCM stated that the SHGs can enhance their operations in Community Farming, Poultry Farming and other such sectors availing the schemes initiated by the Union and the State Govt.
He appealed to the Women Entrepreneurs, SHGs to produce at least 50% of the items required in the state, contribute to Swayampurna Goa vision and enhance their incomes. HCM expressed pleasure in listening to the entrepreneurial journey if the women entrepreneurs.
HCM reiterated that the Govt of Goa is committed to extend all the support under Goa State Rural Livelihood Mission, Start Up Village Entrepreneurship Program, Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana and walk towards creating a record number of Lakhpati Didis in the state.
