The Goa Police successfully concluded a 14-day Bomb Disposal and Counter Improvised Explosive Device (IED) training program conducted by the National Security Guard (NSG) from January 8 to 21, 2025, at the Police Training School in Valpoi. Led by Major B Venkatesh and his team, the training equipped 28 police personnel with essential skills in handling various explosives, specialized equipment, and the deployment of explosive sniffer dogs.
The program culminated in a ceremony where participants received certificates for their completion. Esteemed guests, including SP Security Shri Kiran J. Poduval and DYSP Security Shri Wilson D’Souza, attended to commend the efforts of the NSG instructors and the dedication of the police personnel. This initiative underscores Goa Police’s commitment to enhancing public safety and preparedness against explosive threats.
