Director, Department of Fisheries, Dr. Shamila Monterio inaugurated First Marine Cage Culture Farm under Mariculture Policy at Candolim, Goa. Scientists from CMFRI, Karwar, Dr. Suresh Babu P P, Dr. Anuraj, Superintendent, Department of Fisheries, Chandresh Haldankar were also present during the function. A resident of Candolim, North Goa, Sheldon Fernandes became the first entrepreneur in the State, to start an open sea cage farm under Goa State Mariculture Policy.
