PANAJI: Cumbarjua MLA Rajesh Faldessai on Thursday attended the Janmasthami celebrations at Government Primary School, Carambolim.
Janmashtami is celebrated every year to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna.
A Puja was held as part of the celebrations, while a dahi handi event was also organised.
The students also partook in the celebrations.
In his address, Faldessai spoke on the importance of Lord Krishna and Bhagawad Gita.
“Best wishes to all my constituents and the people of Goa on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. May Lord Krishna bless everyone with happiness, good health and prosperity,” Faldessai said.
The Cumbarjua MLA also assured to provide necessary support and assistance for needy people.
Subodh Mahale, Headmaster, Sunandabai Bandodkar High School, Carambolim, Kushta Salelkar, former sarpanch and present panch member, Carambolim panchayat, Nirmala Gawas, teacher, Government Primary School, Carambolim and Vargaokar, president, Parent Teacher Association, Sunandabai Bandodkar High School, Carambolim were present for the celebrations.
