Panaji: Congress will not stop leaving the party as the organization is based on an ideology and believes in democracy, AICC spokesman Anuma Acharya said.
Talking to reporters in Goa, Acharya said that there is no prohibition to leave the party in Congress which believes in democratic set up.
Responding to a question on some senior party leaders quitting the organization, Acharya shot back “do you have your grandparents living with you at your home? When it is a family, it is not necessary that everyone should be together.”
“Difference of opinion do arise. Congress has no prohibition on people leaving the party,” she added.
Acharya said that the party cannot stop anyone from having their different thinking.
She said that the Congress has members of diverse thinking process (vichardhara).
When asked about the recent exits, Acharya commented “there is something called as aspiration (mahatvakansha) and the capability. There is always clash between both. If your capability is less than the aspiration then you are not satisfied.”
She said that despite getting everything, some leaders don’t create space for others.
