CM Dr Pramod Sawant Attended and addressed the 11th Shenoi Goembab Jayanti Utsav at Hirabai Zantye Memorial Hall, Bicholim organized by Goa Konkani Academy & Divchal Konkani Seva Kendra in the presence of MLAs Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, Shri Premendra Vishnu Shet, Jnanpeeth Awardee & Konkani Writer Shri Damodar Maujo and distinguished people.
I pay my respects to the pioneer of Konkani literature and language movement. Shri #ShenoiGoembab learnt many other languages but chose Konkani for literature, ignited confidence for the Konkani language.
We established the Shenoi Goembab School of Literature in the Goa University, that offers courses in Konkani and other languages. I appeal youth to go for the courses offered at the School, as there are multiple opportunities in the translation & literature sector.
