Serendipity Art Festival (SAF) is South East Asia’s one of the biggest multi disciplinary art festival hosted in Goa from last 4 years. Which they say is a boon to Goas Economy & Tourism Industry as its a crowd puller due it unique form.
Tourist visit Goa round the clock but the crowd is more at the year end. This festival is hosted at the year end in the month of december specially in the last weeks of the month of December when the crowd in Goa is at the peak by default.
Goa being the top most destination around the world for year end parties the year end the crowd in Goa is huge.
So if at all the (SAF) event wants to help Goa they should host it when the crowd is less in Goa so that it will help the Goan economy and tourism industry in the true sense.
All the Venues are taken free of cost from the Goa Govt. which normally cost lakhs of rupees of rent.
In last 4 years if you see the serendipity festival has made loss of crores of rupees to the Govt. exchequer by not paying the rent.
The same festival can be hosted during the off season with free venues to pull the crowd and help boost Goan economy and support Tourism Industry.
And the Govt. Can give the venues during the season to commercial events and get the money which will help the Goan economy and support Tourism industry.
Govt. Of Goa should give a serious thought over the hosting dates of Serendipity Art Festival from next year onwards.
