Goa is gearing up for a cultural spectacle this October as BITS Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus,
hosts the 20th edition of its flagship cultural festival – Waves ’25. Scheduled from 31st October
to 2nd November 2025, this year’s theme, “Masquerade of Mayhem”, promises an explosion of
creativity, talent, and youthful energy as thousands of students and performers converge to
celebrate two decades of Waves.
Over the years, Waves has evolved into one of India’s most awaited college cultural festivals,
attracting more than 10,000 participants and spectators every edition. Renowned for its
electrifying vibe, the fest has welcomed some of the biggest names in Indian entertainment –
and its milestone 20th edition aims to push the boundaries even further.
When night falls, Waves turns into a vibrant carnival of music and lights. From soulful Bollywood
evenings featuring Mohit Chauhan, Amit Trivedi, and Sunidhi Chauhan, to Indie Nights with acts
like Mohammed Irfan and Pineapple Express, from high-energy EDM and rap showcases with
Raftaar and Seedhe Maut, to laughter-filled Comedy Nights with Aakash Gupta and Abhishek
Upmanyu – these nights are the beating heart of Waves, drawing crowds that rival professional
concerts.

The days bring their own energy, led by the festival’s Big Four – Searock (India’s premier semi-
professional band competition), Natyanjali (the grand dance showdown), Mr. & Ms. Waves (the
ultimate charisma and talent contest), and the dazzling Fashion Parade. Alongside these are
equally captivating events like Show Me The Funny (stand-up comedy), Rangmanch (theatre),
Sizzle (street dance battles), Moot Court (legal duels), Strangely Familiar (quirky compatibility
challenge), and the evergreen Prom Night, ensuring a truly all-encompassing cultural
experience.
As Waves ’25 celebrates its 20th year, it stands not just as a festival, but as a legacy – a symbol
of music, art, and creativity that has firmly placed BITS Goa on India’s cultural map. The
masquerade begins on 31st October, and for three unforgettable days, the stage is set for
unmissable mayhem.

Direct flights from Warsaw and Katowice connect Goa to Poland, enhancing tourism and boosting the local economy

Goa, November 08, 2024 – Manohar International Airport (GOX), developed and operated by GMR Goa International Airport Ltd. (GGIAL), is thrilled to announce the arrival of Enter Air’s first seasonal charter flight from Warsaw, Poland. This new service establishes the much-needed non-stop connection between Goa and the Polish cities of Warsaw and Katowice, furthering Goa’s position as a premier international tourist destination.

This is a landmark moment, as Goa now becomes the only destination in India with direct air connectivity to Katowice, paving the way for increased tourism and a positive impact on the local economy. Enter Air’s bi-weekly charter flights, scheduled every Monday and Friday, promise to be a reliable bridge, encouraging more tourists to experience the unique blend of Indian and Portuguese culture, lush landscapes, serene beaches, and exceptional cuisine that Goa offers.

Today’s arrival of Enter Air’s Boeing 737 at 08:20 hours, carrying 184 passengers, marked a significant step in Goa’s expanding global connectivity. The flight departed for Warsaw at 09:20 hours.
