The camp, set up at the heart of the Maha Kumbh site, distributed essential mobility and assistive devices such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, walking sticks, and other rehabilitation aids. These devices were provided free of cost to beneficiaries, many of whom had traveled from across the country to partake in the holy dip at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.

The event was graced by key dignitaries, including Shri Guruprasad Pawaskar, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Goa, and Shri S. Govindraj, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of India. Speaking at the camp, Shri Pawaskar emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering inclusivity.

“This camp embodies the true spirit of accessibility and empowerment,” said Shri Pawaskar. “Ensuring that individuals with disabilities and senior citizens can participate fully in spiritual gatherings like the Maha Kumbh is a significant step towards creating an inclusive society.
