1. The Bye Elections to Ward No. V of Village Panchayat Velguem, Ward No. VI of Village Panchayat Ona-Maulinguem Kudchirem, Ward No. VI of Village Panchayat Orlim, Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Calem, Ward No. IV of Village Panchayat BalliAdnem, Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat Barcem-Quedem and Ward No. I of Village Panchayat Rachol will be held on 25th March, 2023 (Saturday). The Poll timings are 8.00am to 5.00 pm.
2. The Commission adopted the Electoral Roll of the Goa Legislative Assembly prepared under the provisions of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1950 (Central Act 43of 1951)
for the time being in force as on 1st January, 2023 (published on 27th January, 2023), to form the voters list of said Village Panchayat wards.
3. District Collectors North Goa and South Goa are appointed as the District Election Officers.
4. The Mamlatdar of Bicholim, Salcete, Quepem and Sanguem taluka are appointed as the Returning Officers and Awal Karkuns in Office Mamlatdar Bicholim, Salcete, Quepem
and Sanguem are appointed as Asst. Returning Officers.
5. To monitor the enforcement of Model Code of Conduct General Observers and Expenditure Observer are appointed by State Election Commission. Also the flying squads shall be deployed by the District Collectors North Goa and South Goa.
6. The adequate Police force shall be deployed by Police Department for smooth Conduct of elections.
7. The maximum limit of expenditure to be incurred by the candidate is Rs. 40,000/-
8. The manner of voting is by Ballot.
9. The Poll statistics as are as per Annexure “A”.
10. The Election Schedule is as per Annexure “B”.
11. The Model Code of Conduct comes in force from today i.e 02/03/2023 till the Election process is completed in the areas under the jurisdiction of Ward No. V of Village Panchayat Velguem, Ward No. VI of Village Panchayat Ona-Maulinguem Kudchirem, Ward No. VI of Village Panchayat Orlim, Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Calem, Ward No. IV of Village Panchayat Balli-Adnem, Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat BarcemQuedem and Ward No. I of Village Panchayat Rachol.
