ABVP to celebrate 75th Foundation Day on 09 July;
National General Secretary of BJP and former ABVP National General Secretary Shri. Vinod Tawde invited as the Chief Guest for the grand program in Panaji
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is celebrating its 75th Foundation day this year as the world’s largest student organization is entering its 75 years since its inception in 1949. In honor of this momentous occasion, ABVP Goa is organizing a mass gathering of present and former karyakartas from all over Goa. The National General Secretary of BJP and former ABVP National General Secretary Shri. Vinod Tawde will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The press conference, held on July 6, was presided over by ABVP Goa State Convener Kum. Dhanshree Mandrekar, North Goa Convener Sudip Naik, South Goa Convener Akshay Shet and Panaji City Secretary Vaibhav Salgaonkar who shared the organization’s journey and its commitment to national reconstruction through constructive activities in the field of education. Dhanshree Mandrekar highlighted that the grand gathering will take place on July 9, 2023, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Institute Menezes Braganza hall in Panaji, Goa. This event will serve as a platform to bring together ABVP karyakartas, both present and former, to celebrate the organization’s achievements and contributions to the nation.
ABVP has played a significant role in advocating for comprehensive educational reforms, fighting against the commercialization of education, and addressing various challenges faced by the nation, including illegal Bangladeshi infiltration, terrorism, Maoist violence, Shree Ram Janmabhoomi andolan, Article 370 abrogation and separatist tendencies. The organization has also been actively involved in promoting talent, organizing sports meets, literary and cultural events, career guidance workshops, and technical competitions for students. ABVP has produced great leaders of the country in various sectors of society who have been from simple families and non-political backgrounds. Furthermore, ABVP has engaged in relief activities during natural calamities, conducted surveys in backward areas, promoted social harmony, and actively participated in social and charitable causes. These initiatives reflect ABVP’s commitment to create a socially inclusive organization that works towards the holistic development of the society.
In Goa ABVP has been actively working for student and social welfare for many years. The half ticket andolan, Konkan Railway andolan, nylon 6,6 andolan, Student justice andolan in Xaviers College are some of the examples where ABVP has played a big role in Goa. Recently ABVP has been proactive in organizing many student welfare programs and student andolans. In the past week, ABVP successfully intervened in Don Bosco college Panaji with the fee structure issue to save a big amount of Rs. 25 Lakhs fees of students. In the coming days ABVP will organize many programs all round the year as we celebrate 75 years of foundation. ABVP is also committed to participate and win all student council elections in colleges and Goa University with full power this year. Over the years ABVP will emerge stronger and will take student voices on a larger platform.
