Aam Aadmi Party Goa Convenor Rahul Mhambre, AAP leader Vishnu Naik, AAP senior vice president Satyavijay Naik, AAP leader Anil Gaonkar and AAP leader Abhijit Dessai held a Parivartan Yatra in Mapusa, Siolim, Valpoi, Sanvordem and Sanguem respectively.
Rahul Mhambre claimed Mapusa this time is looking a change in the incumbent MLA, a message which is reverberatingly clear and visible across all segments of the population.
He said, “Joshua D’souza announced a slew of works totalling around Rs 140 crore, including the commencement of underground power cabling work and laying of the foundation stone for a new Tar Bridge in Mapusa. If one looks at the BJP’s manifeasto from the last 20 years, one will understand Joshua is not saying anything new. It was all listed under the BJP’s manifesto. Even BJP admits now that Joshua has failed Mapusa”.
AAP leader Vishnu Naik said, “Those living in Siolim who depend on tourism have lost their jobs due to the lockdown. Many hoteliers and restaurant owners have found it difficult to maintain their livelihoods. Taxi operators have lost their livelihood. Despite this, the government continues to turn a blind eye. As a result, Siolim youths are looking forward to Arvind Kejriwal’s second guarantee, which is about employment”.
Satyavijay Naik said that the Rane father-son duo is running Valpoi and Sattari as their personal property. “We have to end the dictatorship of the father-son Rane duo in Valpoi. No development activity has taken place in Valpoi, and many youngsters are unemployed. Only AAP can able to find a solution for the unemployment issue in this region. Currently, AAP leaders have been holding several meetings with the industrialists to discuss about job creation in the state. Kejriwal is the man of words and if AAP voted to power, every youth’s dream will come true”, he said.
While addressing the gathering in Sanguem Abhijeet Dessai said, “The Sanguem area has been greatly affected by the mining ban. To make matters worse, the Sanjivani sugar factory has been closed, leaving the farmers with no source of income. Over the last five years, the government has ignored the mining dependents. People are angry at the corruption that has taken over every government sector. People deserve a change, and only AAP can provide it.”.
In Sanvordem, while addressing the gathering AAP leader Anil Gaonkar argued that the need of the hour is to restart mining, which will provide employment to the people.
He said, “In contrast to the incumbent government that does not seem to care about the unemployed, the AAP will provide relief to the unemployed if it gets into power. Families impacted by the mining closure will receive Rs. 5000 for the time being until mining can resume.
Sanvordem residents are fed up with the present corruption practices. AAP will work for the welfare of Goans”.
